Heading to the store to load up on Halloween treats? Have you thought about trying something different instead of traditional candy?
Mix up the candy bowl with a variety of non-traditional but nutritious goodies like:
* Mini rice cereal bites
* Mini juice boxes
* Cereal bars
* Small boxes of raisins
* Packages of trail mix
* Small bags of baby carrots
If you're set on giving out candy to your trick-or-treaters, consider giving them sugar candies like jelly beans, gummy worms or bubble gum. If you can't resist handing out chocolate candy, try mini chocolate bars with nuts for a little extra nutritional punch.
