3 cups Masa Harina
2 cups water

Mix masa harina with water and knead to blend well. Form into 4 balls about 3 inches in diameter. Place ball on wax paper and pat into an 8 inch 1/8-inch thick circle. Fold and pat edges inward for a smooth appearance Carefully place tortilla on a preheated moderately hot dry and very lightly greased griddle for 1 minute. Turn tortilla and cook 2 more minutes. Prick four or five times at different places with a fork to allow air bubbles to escape. Turn once more and cook another minute or until lightly flecked with brown.

Yield: 4 Tortillas
