Pollo alla Diavola (Devil's Chicken)

2 to 3 lbs chicken pieces
2 to 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil
2 Tbs crushed peppercorns
Salt to taste

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and toss to thoroughly coat the chicken. Marinate refrigerated for 2 hours to overnight, stirring occasionally. Grill or broil, cooking the skin side first and basting with the marinade from time to time, until the juices run clear, about 30 to 40 minutes.

Yield: 4 to 6 Servings
