All-Purpose Barbecue Rub
Adapted from "Master the Grill the Lazy Way" by Pamela Rice Hahn and Keith Giddeon (Macmillan, 1999)


2 Tbs chili powder
1 Tbs paprika
2 tsp dried oregano
2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp cayenne
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp tarragon
1/2 tsp celery seed
1/2 tsp salt

Mix all ingredients well. Sprinkle over meat and rub in well.
