Breakfast in a Glass
No time for that "Power Breakfast?" Try a smoothie! Prepare the ingredients the night before and chill them. In the morning, blend them up and drink it down. It's quick and a great way to start the day!
1 small banana, coarsely chopped
1 can (16 ounce) pineapple juice
3 Tbs coconut milk
1 Tbs white sugar
Slice banana, place in blender, pour in pineapple juice, coconut milk and sugar; blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and serve.
Healthy Breakfast Smoothie
1 banana, peeled
1 large orange, peeled and seeded
2 cups vanilla-flavored soy milk
1 tsp ground ginger
Place banana, orange, soy milk, and ginger in an electric blender. Process until ingredients are blended and smooth.
Oatmeal Strawberry Smoothie
1 cup soy milk
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 banana, broken into chunks
14 frozen strawberries
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 tsps white sugar
In a blender, combine soy milk, oats, banana and strawberries. Add vanilla and sugar if desired. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.
