Fresh Orange Cake with Orange Frosting

1 1/2 cup cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup cream
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
Pre-heat oven to 375F.
In an 8x8x2” un-greased pan, sift cake flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Mix well and make a well in the center. In a cup or small bowl, beat egg, melted butter, cream, and orange juice together.
Pour wet mixture into well in dry mixture and beat hard for 1 minute, using a fork or a slit spoon. Bake for 25 minutes. Cool and frost with fresh orange frosting.
2 Tbs fresh orange juice
2 tsp grated orange rind
2 tsp cream
Approximately 1 cup powdered sugar, quantity will vary
Warm the orange juice and the cream slightly before adding the orange rind and combining with as much powdered sugar as necessary to make a smooth icing. Let cool before frosting the cake.
