SPAM™ Dip

The Great SPAM™ Cook-Off Island Style 2000




1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese
1 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
2 Tbs water (enough to dissolve gelatin)
1 can (12 oz) SPAM® Luncheon Meat, minced in food processor or grinder
3/4 cup finely chopped onions
4 Tbs finely chopped fresh parsley
4 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
10 drops (or to taste) hot pepper sauce
Crackers

Soften cream cheese and mix with mayonnaise or salad dressing and mushroom soup. Put in pan and warm on low heat. (This is to melt the cream cheese for smoothness, not to cook.) Mix gelatin with cool water and stir with fork to dissolve. Add gelatin to cream cheese mixture and remove from heat. Stir in SPAM®, onions, parsley, Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce. Put mixture into a 3 1/2 cup JELL-O® mold and put in refrigerator until set (3 hours or overnight). Turn dip out of the mold and serve with crackers.
