  Chopped Steak
Dorothy's Kitchen



2 Tbs salad oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium onion, chopped
2 pounds flank, round or sirloin steak cut into 1/2-inch strips
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup beer (in the early days tuba was used)
3 stalks celery, thinly sliced
3 carrots, thinly sliced
2 cups head cabbage, shredded
salt and pepper to taste

Saute the beef, garlic and onion in the oil for approximately 2 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and continue cooking until vegetables are just crisp-tender about 2-3 minutes. Serve over hot rice.

Yield: 6 Servings
