Boston Pizza
Restaurant Review by Ken Stewart, The Guam Food Guy
January 2000

Finally, Boston Pizza , located in Fountain Plaza, Tumon (Below the Sherwood Hotel) has opened. This venture is owned by pioneering entrepreneur, Bob McLaughlin, aka the Cookie Man (Chamorro Chips). I purchased a take-out order of a pizza last night and will tell you that you will be overwhelmed by the size of this gastronomic masterpiece. I caution you to eat it on the spot and not drive because the steaming aroma will tortue you and challenge your discipline! I managed (held my breath for 10 minutes)!!

Eating it was incredible!! No doubt, the best pizza I've had on this island! (apologies to my friends at the other establishments). The ingredients were fresh, the marinara was delightfully tasty, the pizza dough was tossed on the spot and kneaded, floured, rolled, and baked to perfection. I had a garlic and tomato pizza, with pepperoni and mushrooms added. Price was reasonable, although I thought I'd have a problem getting the box in my car's backseat (Maxima)! Even clearing the doorway to my condo seemed interesting...what a big pizza! I even took a picture of it! It tasted better than it looked, and it looked marvelous!

This is an unsolicited message of praise for a fine product. I think you should try Boston Pizza when you can...they're open for lunch and dinner, and have beer by the cup or pitcher, and you can buy a slice or two if you want...I was just greedy!

Try it...you'll understand why I ranted on so much about a pizza! Ken Stewart Boston Pizza Convert and Addict!
